Random Collective connects people of different disciplines (writers, directors, designers, photographers, coders, etc) to work on different projects together, have just completed a fresh web experience for the band Orba Squara. It’s a multimedia journey which allows fans to venture together with the band in a tour across the US, in the form of a 430 ft long lateral scroll stuffed with photos from the tour, music from the band’s new album, and a solid feel for design overall.
This is the beautiful Cascade House designed by Paul Raff Studio in the conservative Forest Hill neighberhood in the city of Toronto.
Really like this project by Vhils in which he creates portraits in a combination of both additive and subtractive processes, scratching the surface to find the hidden forms within.
You have to watch this gem of a short film directed by Terri Timely (Ian Kibbey + Corey Creasey).

We know its Monday and many of you have still to get over the death of the King.. and we want you to know that is fine, and that there is nothing wrong with that. Yet, that’s precisely why we’d like to help you all out, by pointing you to VVORK’s tribute to the life and work of the only man ever to be born black and die white. Enjoy
This is cool. A cheapish, minimal 3D environment made to look so, so stylish. Hells yeah.
Dir: Uwe Flade
I can’t think of a better way to pay tribute to Micheal Jackson (1958-2009) than putting up this image of Jeff Koons’ porcelain sculpture, conventientely titled Micheal Jackson and Bubbles, from 1988.
(In case you missed it, be sure to check out this tribute to Thriller that we featured about 6 months ago, commemorating the 26th anniversary of the launch of that iconic album that changed music forever.)
Marian Drew is true master of lighting. Her painterly photographs are clearly reference the still life’s of the Renaissance, with dead animals which she’s found by the roadside as protagonists. The beauty of her photographs allow viewers to be drawn into the work only to be reminded of the atrocities of humans beings against defenseless animals like those she photographs.
AIDS-3D is a two-man team, composed of Daniel Keller and Nik Kosmas (both with a BFA in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago), currently living and working in Berlin. These two met in an art therapy class for troubled youths and have been wreaking havoc ever since… They produce all sorts of new media work, happenings, and much more, exploring social activism through communication technologies. Ohh yeah, and these are their demands:
