Toru Kuwakubo’s deliciously thick and texturized paintings could be described as being the contemporary wildchilds of a marriage between the Impressionist paintings of Monet and the Post-Impressionist paintings of Van Gogh, with the Surrealist works of Max Ernst and Yves Tanguy.















Toru’s painting are very poetic, minimal and very beautifully japanese… I love his art.. infact I bought one of his paintings shown here and I enjoy living with it
