There’s something about Victoria Tomaschko’s work (other than the female nudity, of course) that I really like. Her photos communicate a sense of calmness and immediacy that’s somewhat hard to come across these days..
Gregory Crewdson constructs impresive photographs of America’s Suburbia in which beauty and a strong sense of the bizzare converge in perfect harmony. His works seem to be largely inspired by American Film and the Barroque Tenebrist Painters (such as Rembrandt), and tend to show an almost frozen protagonist surrounded by beautiful chaos. His work is definitely worth a look!
No Lifeguard On Duty is the name of this beautiful photographic series of abandoned swimming pools by J Bennett Fitts. The combination of the color palette that he uses together with the overall mood in each and every one of these pics is something to admire…
